How did you hear about the World Peace Café, and what made you decide to volunteer?
I heard about World Peace Café volunteer opportunities when I ate lunch at the cafe. I wanted to volunteer close to home and thought this would be a great way to meet people and support a new local business. I have always tried to donate my time and felt this was something different, out of the ordinary.

Has there been anything about volunteering at the World Peace Café that you didn't expect, or found surprising?
What I didn't expect was how much fun it would be, and how exciting the restaurant business can be. Also, it is very well organized and Chris does a great job making sure everyone stays busy. I have volunteered many places and feel that this is the most well run volunteer program I have ever worked with. So in a nut shell, I keep coming back because it is fun, meet great people, and a great learning experience. I would recommend it to anyone.

PS - one added bonus - it keeps me in shape going up and down the stairs.
